I replaced my 90's vintage Intercom system with a Wall Mounted Smart Home Controller Hub, utilizing a Fire Tablet.
The mount was custom made in consultation with Mike at MB Mounts to cover the large cavity left by removal of the old Intercom master controller - with the oversize panel, no drywall patching/texture/paint is required!

Post Script - I changed out the Power Supply that is shown in the video (and linked above) for a sealed unit - I didn't like the exposed AC Mains Voltage exposed on the Terminal Strip of the original

Note - a mis-speak at 1:20 - I referred to "door & window sensors" when should have been the Intercom Remote Stations (I'm also working on an alarm replacement and had this in back of mind) - that becomes obvious as video goes on, but that was a dohhhh moment I realized after the fact :)
