This video was recorded when End of Dragons (EoD) was the latest expansion. However, apart from adding a relic nothing changed in the build.


In my static, we're often doing mid strat solo heal Vale Guardian (VG). This means that people should not get ported and not facetank any mechanics as this might result in downstate due to the limited amount of healing.

Our Condi Druid and Condi Virtuoso were responsible for Seeker Control, so I only had to tank. In order to tank, I need to have more toughness than everyone else in the squad, but since VG can hit pretty hard I used my high Toughness set. Additionally, I brought Arcane Shield to block blues to minimize VG's movement (see 0:12) or to ensure my survival during cc + a green explosion (see 1:16, 2:16).

Both Glyph of Elementals and Rebound can be great on VG. I chose the elemental and also brought the Signet of Water as I was the solo healer and additional healing can help me keep the 2nd subgroup alive more easily.

Overall, the boons in my subgroup were fine. One of the players in my subgroup went to the red guardian, so naturally their boon uptime was lower. I made sure to start with an Overload at the start of each boss phase to generate Alac immediately for my red duty player. However, this Overload should always be Fire to also generate Might for the red duty player(s) - at 33%, I started with Air instead.
There are 3 additional drops in boon uptime for players in my sub: At the start of the first and second phase, one player each misses out on my Fire Overload + Fire#4 due to being teleported. Sadly, there's nothing I can do about that. However, the 3rd drop on my Chrono at the start of the second split phase was avoidable (see 1:35); They went to grab the green guardian while I granted Might. I should have delayed my Fire#4 to at least copy my Might to them, especially since I proceeded to be on the wrong attunement at the start of the next phase.

Disclaimer: Infusions aren't strictly needed; without them you lose 90 healing power. Since fury is covered in my group by both Mesmers and the Daredevil, I can take the Arcane traitline.
