The Time Amphibians Turned Into Carnivorous Pancakes

Описание к видео The Time Amphibians Turned Into Carnivorous Pancakes

Amphibians are funky as they are, but, they used to be even more weird, and one family in particular, the Plagiosauridae was the weirdest of them all. This was a group of amphibians that essentially tried to become 'paper', via making their bodies extremely flat. They adopted this pancake like design in order to thrive throughout the Triassic period, an age that isn’t exactly known for being a walk in the park. And through their unique evolutionary changes, these amphibians were indeed able to thrive, with one genus alone existing without any major changes for over thirty million years, the Gerrothorax, a testament to the ingenious nature of their body structure.
