George Verschoor is a showrunner, director, and creator of television shows.

George Verschoor is considered one of the pioneers of non-fiction programming having developed, produced, and directed the first four seasons of MTV's groundbreaking series The Real World, now one of the longest-running non-fiction programs in history.

George Verschoor is creating and showrunning content for the LA-based studio Critical Content. including Instant Dream Home, The World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals and StayHere for Netflix, and Home Free for Fox. He is also the Consulting Producer on the Paramount+ reunion series The Real World Homecoming.

Previously, Verschoor executive produced and ran the long-running ABC hit series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. He created & ran the live music competition series Nashville Star, which launched the careers of country music stars Miranda Lambert & Chris Young. For Nat Geo, Verschoor also executive produced the hit investigative series Border Wars and created and ran the adventure doc series Die Trying and the off-the-grid cabin building series Building Wild.
