This is the first part of the Election manifestos which talks about the main parties stand on United Kingdom immigration policies.

The United Kingdom public will vote in a general election, on 12 December 2019, the third since the year 2015. In this video blog we will be observing at what each of the three main parties is stating about United Kingdom immigration. Please note this video is not sponsored and we tried our best to stay neutral while comparing the manifestos of the political parties.

United Kingdom’s three major political parties, Liberal Democrats, the Conservatives and Labour have now all published their manifestos in which they lay out their objectives after they are elected. The aforementioned parties have mentioned its opinion on the prospect of United Kingdom immigration.

Let’s begin the video and talk about Future of UK Immigration: The Conservative manifesto


The Conservative party’s pledge to ‘fix our immigration system’ comprises in the manifesto ‘Get Brexit Done’ and ‘Unleash Britain’s Potential’

They aim to do this first and foremost by announcing a ‘securer and reasonable Australian-style points-based immigration system’ so that outcomes on who can arrive in to the United Kingdom will be made ‘on the foundation of the abilities they have and the influence they can make’.

As they are also promising to take the United Kingdom out of the European Union, both European Union and non-European Union nationals will fall under the new immigration scheme which solely depends on the date of arrival in the United Kingdom.

The immigration policy sets out that many individuals will obligate a job offer under the new work-based paths. Primacy will be given to those individuals who:

Possess high-quality education and qualifications.
Possess a great grasp of English; and
Was a respectable citizen in their home country.

Furthermore, the manifesto also states that:

1. Immigrants will make a payment to the National Health Services (NHS) – and ‘deposit’ before they can obtain advantages;
2. There will be lesser lower-skilled migrants and on the whole numbers will decline;
3. Customised visa schemes will be formed for new immigrants who will fill scarcities in public services and construct the corporations and revolutions of the time to come;
4. An NHS visa will be announced to fast-track the applications of experienced doctors, nurses and health professionals with a job offer directly from the NHS;
5. There will be additional openings for remarkably talented migrants;
6. Introduction of graduate visa;
7. Convicts and Law breakers will not be permitted to enter into the United Kingdom.


So, this concludes the first part of the video, and it is still unclear which party will win the election on 12 December, which new immigration scheme will be focused and precisely, which part of those manifestos will be in applied.
