The Urbanic 070s has a stepped grind adjustments mechanism.
While the grinder is able to grind as fine as Turkish coffee, it does lack the micro adjustments for a perfectly timed espresso shot 👌

For instance, when you grind at number 3, the espresso extraction time will be 23 seconds.
If you set it at number 2, the espresso extraction time will take 50 seconds.

That being said, as you can see from the video, you are easily able to remove the metal knob along with the spring underneath it and you will end-up with a step-less grind adjustments.

Accordingly, with Step-less grind adjustments you will be able to set the grind adjustments between number 2 and 3. For instance, if you set it at 2.5, the espresso extraction time will be around 35 seconds 👌

Things to keep in mind:

You might need to add a teflon tape to the thread of the grind adjustments wheel to make it stiffer.
We found that sometimes the grind adjustments are slightly changing after a few grinding cycles.

The mentioned grind adjustments numbers are entirely subjective to each coffee as each coffee and roast level requires different grind settings.

Overall, this modification will make the Urbanic 070s grinder a true budget friendly electric espresso grinder 👌
