A lawyer representing Adura Aloba, the younger brother of the late Nigerian musician Ilerioluwa Aloba (Mohbad), Barrister Kabiru Akingbolu, has called on the singer’s father, Joseph Aloba, to find an amicable resolution to the lingering crisis that has stalled the burial of his son.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lagos, Akingbolu urged Mohbad’s father not to let personal interests overshadow his responsibilities as the head of the family.
He alleged that Joseph Aloba was responsible for the delay in conducting the DNA test intended to establish the paternity of the late singer’s son, Liam Aloba, despite Mohbad’s wife expressing her readiness for the procedure stressing that the DNA test is crucial in settling the controversy surrounding Liam’s paternity.
The lawyer also clarified that Adura Aloba was not the individual who reached out to actor Yomi Fabiyi with information regarding Mohbad’s demise.
He accused Yomi Fabiyi of attempting to implicate Adura based on misleading claims from Damola, another individual involved in the case, who is currently facing trial at a Magistrate Court in Ogba.
