Children's Nebraska team members, community leaders and guests officially celebrated a ribbon cutting at the Behavioral Health Urgent Care - Kearney, the first walk-in clinic of its kind statewide. The new facility serves children and families of Central Nebraska, bringing an innovative model of pediatric behavioral and mental healthcare to a rural setting.
One-third of Nebraska counties lack a behavioral health provider, while nationwide, mental health conditions are on the rise. Children's clinic offers timely and expanded access to critical services for youth, helping families with earlier intervention for urgent mental health needs. We are grateful to Kearney and surrounding communities for their partnership and collaboration in making this new location a reality.
