Описание к видео Covid-19 in the UAE: Latest updates

This week there’s just a lot of updates I need to give you so I won’t be explaining one particular concept or news subject. I’m just going to list all the top updates from the government that are likely to impact your life and lifestyle in some way.

For starters, Dubai announced a partial reduction in the restrictions on movement in the emirate, starting Friday 24 April. 1
The stringent curbs on public movement will now be limited to between 10pm and 6am.
Malls will be allowed to operate for 10 hours daily at 30% visitor capacity
Restaurants and other F&B outlets will have to reduce seating to 30 percent and maintain seating and tables at least six feet apart.
We did see that getting violated by a pub in JLT on the very first day, but rest assured, that was taken care of.
Hotels will be allowed to operate without opening pools, gyms, sauna and massage parlours.
Supermarkets, food outlets, groceries and pharmacies will be allowed to operate round the clock, but mosques will remain shut during the holy month.
Residents can exercise – near one’s home – for up to two hours, with a maximum of three people at any one time.
Public transportation services have resumed and so have the regular parking fees
While Emirates airline looks set to keep its passenger flights grounded until July with the exception of repatriation flights, Etihad Airways plans to resume passenger flights on May 16
Employees are allowed to work in offices only if it is absolutely necessary. Their numbers should not exceed 30% of the total workforce.
Oh by the way, most of these restriction eases don’t apply to adults over 60 and children between three and 12.
Masks need to worn at all times and social distancing must be maintained if you don’t want to be faced with a fine of aed1000, that is.
Now, do these relaxed restrictions mean things are back to normal?
Not at all.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases have reached 10,000 with a death toll of 71 as of Saturday. The curve hasn’t started flattening yet and it is the collective responsibility of us as a society to make sure we follow all of these precautions to stay home and stay safe in order to make sure that happens.
