When it comes to live streaming one of the most difficult things to tackle is good sounding audio. One of the biggest mistakes that people make is not knowing the right type of microphone to use for the right type of situation and what type of audio you're recording. The mixer that you're recording in or if you're running into a camera directly can have a major effect on the audio quality. in this video I show you with my company in Portland Oregon how we run into the Yamaha mixer to properly mix multiple microphones for a live streaming event. No microphone is a end-all-be-all microphone you really need to know what you're doing to have proper microphone and when choosing what microphone to use. Some microphones are meant for vocals like a Shure Beta 58a. But if you want an overall pick up pattern like a newscast and you want something more like a shotgun mic we use the road NTG3. now many events we have musical instruments being played so we make sure that we bring musical instrument mics to properly pick them up these Mics have a wider pickup pattern but they also pick up more background noise.
