Can You Beat NFS Most Wanted Without Purchasing Any Upgrades?

Here's one of my favourite racing games of all time, Need for Speed Most Wanted. I used to play this a tonne on the PS2 back in the day, now we're revisiting it and asking the question, can you beat this game without purchasing any upgrades? Blacklist cars that come with upgrades are fair game, but that's it, we can't buy any ourselves.
