The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe - Coronation, Orchestral Version (Narnia Musical)

Thanks for checking out “Coronation,” the grand finale of my new musical stage adaptation of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.” The play premiered in April, 2023 at Westminster Classical Christian Academy in Toronto, Canada, and will be staged again in the spring of 2024 in Washington state, USA.

This piece is the instrumental accompaniment to the final choral number, sung by the whole cast as Aslan crowns the Pevensie children kings and queens of Narnia. The mood is solemn but joyful, as it celebrates the defeat of evil and the restoration of goodness and order in Narnia.

The lyrics are as follows:
Let Narnia her rulers hail,
By Aslan brought to rule us well,
Daughters of Eve, and Adam’s sons –
By right crowned in Cair Paravel.

Peter the Magnificent,
Susan the Fair, of gentle mien,
Edmund, wise and just in thought,
Lucy the valiant, our gracious queen!

Narnia resound with songs of praise,
For once a king or queen, a king or queen forever.
Evil has been put to flight,
And Aslan has brought back life and light!
