On-Board NJT Pascack Valley Line Train

Описание к видео On-Board NJT Pascack Valley Line Train

Taken: February 16, 2019

Rolling stock: Alstom PL42AC Locomotive #4019, NJT Alstom Comet V, and Comet V Cab Car #6055.

Since the video from last time was not that great (despite the fact that there were three Metro-North Comet V cars and a NJ Transit GP40PH-2B) due to the fact that the other train (Train 1629, Metro-North Express train to Spring Valley) being loaded with passengers for the PM Rush hour, I have ventured up to Hoboken to ride on of the Express trains along the Pascack Valley Line to compensate. I also decided to do this today since my parents were up there doing taxes and the place was about a mile away from Spring Valley Station.

During weekends, a total of four trains (two during AM and two during PM) run express on the Pascack Valley Line between Secaucus Junction and Pearl River. This is also one of the only NJT lines that provide weekday express service during the weekend!

The letdowns about this ride were that the entire train consisted of New Jersey Transit Comet V cars and a PL42AC and the fact that the ride was too slow, especially between Oradell and Hillsdale. The ride was pretty good between Hoboken and Wood-Ridge, despite being a little rocky.

Also, my bad for no loud horn action. The first two cars behind the locomotive were sectioned off, so I was forced to sit in the front half of the third car, soooooo, yeah.

The stops are as follows: (NJ) Hoboken Terminal, Secaucus Junction, (NY) Pearl River, Nanuet, and Spring Valley. Stops bypassed will be provided by local trains (trains that are not #2117 or #2125).

Stops bypassed: Wood-Ridge, Teterboro, Essex Street-Hackensack, Anderson Street, New Bridge Landing, River Edge, Oradell, Emerson, Westwood, Hillsdale, Woodcliff Lake, Park Ridge, and Montvale before crossing the border into New York.

At around 16:00, pay close attention to the various track pathways (first is Main Line, second is Bergen County, third (ours) is Pascack Valley, and fourth is Meadowlands).

Lastly, I apologize for not showing the River Edge station. It was because I thought the platform would be on the right side rather than on the left. Y'all can blame jabroni Wikipedia.

Other than that, I hope y'all enjoyed this video and my redemption video for the last trip. Feel free to drop a like, comment, and don't forget to subscribe and share the video! Ask any questions y'all want me to answer! :D
