The Employee Retention Tax Credits (aka ERTC of ERC) have brought a lot of confusion to CPAs and business owners alike. The program changed again when the Consolidated Appropriations Act was passed in December of 2020. However, these changes opened up new opportunities for small business owners to claim ERC in both 2020 and 2021.
