Day 2: Waterfalls, Wildlife & Rainy Adventures Around Munnar 🌧️🍃

After a peaceful night at Camelot Resort Munnar, nestled amidst private tea gardens, we kicked off the day with a gala breakfast spread and a cozy poolside hangout in the drizzle — a perfect, misty morning to fuel up before our road trip adventure.

We then set off on an adventurous day trip to Anakulam, known for its wild elephant sightings and raw, untouched beauty. Our route took us through the breathtaking Kanan Devan Tata Tea Estates, draped in mist and drenched in continuous monsoon rains — the views were nothing short of magical.

Along the way, we chased waterfalls, including Viriparai Waterfalls, Nakshathrakkuthu Falls, Pambumkayam, 33 Waterfalls Mankulam, Kozhivalan Waterfall, and finally, the majestic Anakulam Waterfall.

We stopped for piping hot Maggi at the KSEB Mankulam Powerhouse, the perfect break to warm up and take in the misty views. A memorable (and slightly chaotic) moment — Manvi had a surprise encounter with a leech, which led to a few tears and a lot of laughs later!

Despite the rain, spirits stayed high — we returned to the resort later that evening for a delicious barbecue chicken dinner to wrap up the perfect day.
From misty roads and roaring waterfalls to spontaneous stops and mountain monsoons, Day 2 was all about embracing the wild side of Munnar! 🌿🚙🌧️
