I been having a fun time bringing this spot back to life. This is a new line we worked on this week. The goal is to make some trails that everyone can ride, not just the experts/pros and "Dirt Jumpers". And it's been working. I've been seeing more kids with no experience at all coming around more and rolling around the track. The jumps originally had gaps in them but now we're filling them in. We're getting close to having all the jumps filled in. These are public trials in NYC and it's important to me to make a place for riders of all skill levels to be able to ride together. It helps get new kids into the sport and also helps those old guys get their old skills back without the risk of coming up short and destroying themselves. It's also BMX and MTB friendly. Now of course the "Dirt Jumpers" and BMX Snobs are probably gonna hate it because the lips are mellow and everything there isn't a huge double but this is so NOT about them!!!! But at these trails (Cunninghham Bike Park) there's an awesome pump track, a super beginner section and a big jumpline with gaps and steep lips so there's no reason to build yet another huge jump line that only a handful of people can do.. This section adds a whole different flavor and we're dialing it in almost everyday. IT's been fun bringing this line back to life.
