In this series of lectures, we will discuss the fundamental concepts necessary to understand how biomaterials are made, characterized, used, and most interestingly, how they interact with biological systems from bacteria to human beings. From ancient dentures and prothesis to the modern makings of a cyborg, this lecture series will help biologists understand how their knowledge can help contribute to the field of biomaterials.
