Exotic Bamboo Jungle, Bamboo Nursery Kimmei, Valkenswaard

The magnificent experimental show garden of Bamboo Nursery Kimmei in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands. This tropical garden is more then 35 years old and it's packed with all kinds of bamboo species (some almost 15 meters high!), grasses and hardy exotic plants. You can also find some really rare plants like Brassaiopsis and Schefflera species.

I visited and filmed the garden in april and there's already a jungle atmosphere. In early spring you don't have the giant Tetrapanax and banana leaves, but there are all kinds of evergreen plants, flowereing Camelias, lots of Arums and you see the garden is waking up. So it's also really beautiful to visit this garden at this time of year.
