One of my favorite emerger/dry flies to tie is the Hackle Stacker or Paraloop style fly. The tying technique may take a little bit of time to get right, but it is worth putting in the time at the vise.

The style seems to have been developed by several anglers around the same time. Ian Moutter wrote the book tying Flies the Paraloop Way (https://amzn.to/2Il0tb5), and Bob Quigley has popularized the style with his Umpqua tied series of flies. Ned Long and Jim Cramer also have credit in the development of the style.

You can switch out colors to match the hatch and create versions of gingers, PMD, slates, Adams, etc.
