Walking in Christ’s Footsteps
Dear Fathers,
On this Father’s Day, we honor and celebrate the unique calling God has placed on your life—to lead your families in love, strength, and wisdom. Your role is not just to provide and protect, but to model the character of Christ to the next generation.
The Bible reminds us of this sacred responsibility:
“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”— Ephesians 6:4
Children learn not only by words, but by example. The way you treat their mother, the way you handle trials, the way you pray, forgive, and serve—all of it leaves a lasting imprint on their hearts.
As Paul said:
“Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.”— 1 Corinthians 11:1
This is your high calling—not perfection, but progress in walking faithfully with Jesus. Your children are watching. Let them see a man who seeks God first (Matthew 6:33), who walks humbly (Micah 6:8), and who loves sacrificially (John 15:13).
Lead your children in:
Faith – By spending time in God’s Word and prayer.
Integrity – By doing what is right, even when it costs.
Grace – By confessing mistakes and offering forgiveness.
Love – By affirming their worth and showing consistent care.
May you be the kind of father who, like Joshua, boldly declares:
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”— Joshua 24:15
Today, we thank you. And we challenge you: continue the good fight. Your faithfulness today will bear fruit for generations to come.
