BLACK DYKE MILLS BAND. This is a real blockbuster test piece that was first used at the National Brass Championship in 1954 when the Fairey Aviation Works Band won. It was later used as the British Open Champioship test piece in 1972when Black Dyke Mills Band won (they also won the National that year). The Finale of this piece is quite stunning. I do not know anything about the composer, Frank Beaver.
