In this micro-doc, Adam Cook (Wildlife Biologist and founder of Talks Wild) explores the role that British farmers play in our fight against climate change. Globally, the human diet has gained significant attention on the climate change agenda, and it is accepted that the agricultural sector is accountable for 26% of global greenhouse gas emissions. However, mainstream media rarely covers the environmental commitments and achievements made by farmers from a national-scale perspective.

Through investigating the National Farmers Union target to reach net-zero emissions by 2040, we uncover the environmental side to the agricultural story. As well as this, if people are still going to eat meat, we assess the possibility of doing this more sustainably with Carbon Neutral Beef. Importantly, we address the responsibility we have as consumers to buy local and seasonal produce, with Shillingford Organics.
