Normally schools teach Multiplication Tables up to 20. Tables form 21 to 99 are not being taught in schools. So let’s learn it. Yet that’s a Vedic Mathematics but in maths every thing is purely logical.

Simplified way to get the Multiplication Table of 36. Do you know the table of 3 and 6? Oh! Yes. That’s great. Let’s first go through the required steps.

STEP 1 :- Write table of 3 and 6 in two separate columns. Remember to place ones digit in ones place and tens digit in tens place.

Table of 3 Table of 6 Required Calculation Table of 36
1 × 3 = 3 1 × 6 = 6 (3) (6) 1 × 36 = 36
2 × 3 = 6 2 × 6 = 12 (6 + 1 = 7) (2) 2 × 36 = 72 3 × 3 = 9 3 × 6 = 18 (9 + 1 = 10) (8) 3 × 36 = 108
4 × 3 = 12 4 × 6 = 24 (12 + 2 = 14) (4) 4 × 36 = 144
5 × 3 = 15 5 × 6 = 30 (15 + 3 = 18) (0) 5 × 36 = 180
6 × 3 = 18 6 × 6 = 36 (18 + 3 = 21) (6) 6 × 36 = 216
7 × 3 = 21 7 × 6 = 42 (21 + 4 = 25) (2) 7 × 36 = 252
8 × 3 = 24 8 × 6 = 48 (24 + 4 = 28) (8) 8 × 36 = 288
9 × 3 = 27 9 × 6 = 54 (27 + 5 = 32) (4) 9 × 36 = 324
10 × 3 = 30 10 × 6 = 60 (30 + 6 = 36) (0) 10 × 36 = 360

STEP 2 :- Take a look at the products of each table. In the table of 3, the products are to be added to the tens digit of the product of table 6. Ones digit of the products of table of 6 remains as it is.

STEP 3 :- Now the new digit/s that you got after adding is to be placed beside the ones digit of the product of table 6 to get the table of 36.
