Calling coyotes and bobcats is one of the most exciting and most challenging things you can do in the hunting world. Here are tips on how to approach your calling stands, how to use cover while calling, and how to put together an effective calling sequence. I use a number of techniques from coyote howls, coyote barks and howls, as well as coyote distress calls. Coyote vocalizations are extremely effective when done at the appropriate times. You can also call in predators using distress prey sounds such as distressed cottontail rabbit, distress jack rabbit, distress fawn, distress calf, and any other sounds of distress to lure a predator into an easy meal. Make no mistake, coyotes and bobcats entire existence revolves around self preservation. You have to do everything right and a lot of times get lucky to have a successful varmint hunt. You have to practice with the calls, you have to learn from trial and error, and you have to persevere through failed hunts. In this video I demonstrate how to call coyotes with Primos hunting calls. The Primos Hot Dog coyote howler, the Primos Lil Dog coyote howler and rabbit distress, the Primos Ky-Yi, and the Primos Catnip.
