⁴ᴷ Tokushima: Tokushima Station (徳島県: 徳島駅) - Japan Walking Tour (December, 2024)

As the weather gets colder, I set out for western Japan, planning to visit the major cities in Shikoku. However, after crossing the sea to get here, I had to turn back from Tokushima and return to Tokyo due to unforeseen circumstances. What a setback. That said, this was my first time taking photos in Tokushima Prefecture, meaning I’ve now photographed every prefecture in Japan except for those in Kyushu.
The entertainment district in Tokushima City is across the river from Tokushima Station—or so I was about to write, but Tokushima Station itself is surrounded by rivers. Perhaps they are part of the outer moat of Tokushima Castle? From there, it’s about a kilometer’s walk to the Konya-machi and Akita-machi areas. Since it was a Monday, there were only a few people out and about. Next time, I’d like to visit on a Friday or Saturday.
