what i cook + eat in a week | moms birthday, home renovation, farmers market, adult friendships

Hi, I'm Tiffy :)

Welcome to another episode of What I Eat In a Weekend. This week is an exciting week filled with outdoor activities, home renovations, and my mom’s birthday!

We are currently in phase 3 of our house renovation, so we have been visiting Home Depot and IKEA lots to get inspiration and also picking up some tools for our garden. I made a Spicy Octopus Stir Fry to help fuel us for a long day of shopping.

The next day was my mom’s birthday, so I decided to make her favourite vegetable tempura! If you ask anyone in my life, who is my best friend, they will say my mom. One of my core memories growing up was going to eat sushi with my mom. She would always order the assorted tempura, and we would all take turns picking which piece we wanted. It is such a dream come true to be able to cook her favourite dish for her and enjoy all the family time together.

The most important thing for me is spending time with the people I love, my friends, my family, and my husband. This week we were able to visit a few local events like the farmers market, outdoor symphony, and the Greek Festival. It is so much fun being a tourist in your own city and discovering hidden gems and creating lasting memories.
