Keynote Speaker: Elouise Cobell (Blackfeet)
Elouise Cobell is the lead plaintiff in the historic $3.5 billion class action suit Cobell v. Salazar.
Elouise Cobell is the Executive Director for the Native American Community Development Corporation. Ms. Cobell was a founder of the first national bank located on an Indian reservation and owned by a Native American tribe. She was instrumental in the formation of the Blackfeet Reservation Development Fund, Inc. and has been a leader in reforming the U.S. government's management of individual Indian trust assets. Ms. Cobell received the Genius Grant from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation's Fellowship Program in 1997.
