The Tetris Effect ALWAYS influences your music - for good or bad. It means that your expectations set filters that affect what information you take in from the world around you.

If you’re expecting to see mistakes, you’ll notice any of these. But you’ll filter out a lot of the good bits of the music you’re playing. They’ll go into your ears ok - but your brain will discard the information before you consciously “hear” it.
