South Africa has been upgraded by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Plenary from its 22-item Action Plan, with eight items now largely addressed and one partially addressed. The country now aims to address 16 of the 22 action items, leaving six outstanding items for the last reporting cycle, which concludes in February 2025. The National Treasury is pleased with the progress made by South Africa, as recognized by the FATF. Executive Director of Firstsource Money, Redge Nkosi joins us to discuss.
