I love finding old bottles. This one is Minard’s Liniment.

Minard's Liniment was an elixir said to be the “finest product available to man or beast”. It was conceived by Dr. Levi Minard in the 1860s who practiced medicine in the small town of Brooklyn, Nova Scotia. (Not far from Windsor, Nova Scotia )

This white ointment was used on every ache and pain the body had, including arthritis and bronchitis.

MINARD’s became widespread throughout Maritime provinces and Newfoundland, where fishermen relied on it to ease stiff and sore muscles common in the ocean’s damp and bone-chilling air. Thanks to its effectiveness, MINARD’s continued to spread in popularity throughout Canada, where Dr. Minard was named “King of Pain Relief”.
