School Is Cool - Never Mind The Feeling

At some points in life, you have to give in to intuition and just take action, whatever the consequences might be. School is Cool’s new single, Never Mind the Feeling is about that. Realising you’ve got to make a change and acting on a hunch after suppressing it for too long.

This time the band has gone for a large scale production led by Thomas Valkiers, utilizing a string quartet and juxtaposing it onto a classic School is Cool sound with Niels Meukens’s spacious drums and ample backing vocals, layers and layers of Hanne Torfs. Toon Van Baelen, the band’s bassist, used a cut up synth and a raucous distorted bass guitar to weld together an awesome low end to the song. Singer Johannes Genard’s vocal sit on top and drive the dynamics of the song, throughout the adventurous bridge and the exuberant chorus.
