The Xentry Kit 3 Presentation on Mercedes-Benz vehicles is a new generation of diagnosis units consisting of the XENTRY diagnosis kit 3 and the retail data storage. Today, I'd like to introduce you to the new generation of diagnosis units consisting of the XENTRY diagnosis kit 3 and the retail data storage. As usual, the concept of the XENTRY diagnosis kit consists of two components: the XENTRY diagnosis pad and the centric diagnosis VCI (vehicle communication interface). New is the retail data storage, which is now used as a memory for diagnosis updates and regular DVDs digital operating instructions, so you no longer need to use media such as Blu-rays or DVDs. Let's take a closer look at the XENTRY diagnosis pad. Visually, it's similar to the XENTRY tab, but this cover is new. It houses a Wi-Fi stick that communicates with the VCI unit. A lot has happened on the inside too; eight gigabytes of main memory, an i5 processor, and an SSD hard drive ensure that we only need three minutes from system start to the first quick test result. XENTRY control is omitted, and the entire diagnosis software now runs completely on the XENTRY diagnosis pad. Also new is that only the centric diagnosis pad has to be integrated in the Wi-Fi infrastructure of the workshop, which eliminates the need for the service 24h mode. The new XENTRY diagnosis VCI differs significantly from its predecessor, XENTRY connect. It's smaller, more robust, and no longer has a PC core as the software now runs on the sensory diagnosis pad. To connect to a vehicle, we use the OBD cable as standard. For special applications, there are adapters that can be connected to the OBD cable. Finally, with the XENTRY update service, we've developed a new online update concept. You no longer need Blu-rays or DVDs, you only need a single central storage, the retail data storage. It downloads all required data overnight and makes it available to all paired XENTRY diagnosis pads. The download to the pad takes place completely in the background, so your work is not affected. Once the update is downloaded, switching is possible within five minutes, and if necessary, you can also go back to the old release without any problem.
