It is the biggest and most sophisticated ship lift in the world. Small boats enter a tank of water at the entry level then tank of water with ship are separated from river and lifted using electricity to the other level and opened again. In video we go downstream: first approach small passage in the dam wall to the lift, then lift lower us to the lower level let us sail out. It took 40 minutes while traditional ship lock could take 4 hours to pass
