Dead Rising Is My Favorite Zombie Game

Resident Evil may have kicked off my love for zombie games, but Dead Rising took the mantle of my favorite. Frank West is an unassuming hero that went looking for a story, and left with a whole government cover up to blow the lid on all while avoiding zombies, fighting weirdos, and saving some people along the way. It's the closest you can get to a proper Dawn of the Dead video game without actually being one, and was a technical marvel on release. It may have not aged the best in graphics and design, but times change for a reason, and with the upcoming remaster scheduled to release soon, I just wanted to gush a bit about this game because it IS good. It's great even... I just think it's possibly going to get a whole lot better soon. That's my hope at least!
