In a musical landscape where immediacy and authenticity reign, The Nation Two stand out as a band that doesn’t just embrace fuzz-drenched alt-rock – they reinvent it with charm, grit, and unshakable melody.

Hailing from the northern suburbs of Naarm/Melbourne, the duo formed as a creative outlet for Dougie (The Grief Tourist) and Jo (Dental Plan), who came together to explore fresh terrain beyond their established projects. Swapping instruments – Jo on guitar and Dougie on drums – they adopted an anything-goes ideology that sparked instant chemistry, producing songs that walk the line between underground punk rawness and the shimmering hooks of classic indie rock.

Given both band members are video game enthusiasts, they've combined their twin passions of music and gaming for their new single 'Fairy Bread' with a playful digital twist, inviting fans to lean into mid-2000s gaming nostalgia. Recently, after re-discovering rhythm-based games, Rock Band 3 and Guitar Hero 2 in particular, Dougie decided to immortalise their latest single in a form playable in a multitude of formats. Many hours have been spent creating an interactive version of Fairy Bread. Downloadable and ready to play... Now where where did you put that guitar controller?
