Mike Durham's Whitley Bay International Jazz Party 2023 Theme 2 - The New Orleans Rhythm Kings and their Circle.
The New Orleans Rhythm Kings made terrific records in the 1920s and some of their tunes remain jazz standards today. Michael McQuaid directs music by them and some of their musical first cousins. Andy Schumm (cornet); Mike Davis (trumpet); Graham Hughes (trombone); Michael McQuaid, David Horniblow, Lorenzo Baldasso (reeds); David Boeddinghaus (piano); Martin Wheatley (banjo, guitar); Phil Rutherford (tuba); Nicholas D Ball (drums).
