Subwoofer hum SUUUUCKS, and here's how I dealt with it. There can be a LOT of causes, and it's a process of elimination...Vv Click "SHOW MORE" vV
Subwoofer hum is something I've avoided until recently. Part of that was luck, part of it was equipment.

SVS Subwoofer cable, probably the best option:

Mediabridge cable, worked in the home setup, but in the SUV, and I still had hum:

This video was not a "Monster bash", and this particular cable has reviews stating that subwoofer hum was resolved: https://sub101.link/Monster-Subwoofer...
I wish I'd run SVS cable in the SUV, it might have solved the problem, where the mediabridge did not.
Both cables fixed the hum in the house, where cheap cables failed. The SVS cable in the SUV might not have resolved it either, where grounding the RCA to the chassis did fix it with the Mediabridge.
I think this might be a case where better cable build and design could overcome more difficult problems. Where one cable might fix hum in a low interference situation, it might not fix a high interference situation. This is speculation, but it makes sense to me.
Prior to this, I never had hum. I knew SVS cable was good at resolving hum. As my channel is end user focused (That's you!), and personal experience based (me), I had no business making a video about it.
While it was irritating at the time, finding the fix was great, so I could share it with confidence.
Just remember that cables might not fix your hum.
If your sub hums without the RCA input connected, it's either a serious ground issue, but more likely it's the sub itself.
You might also have ground issue, resolved by making sure both subs are on the same wall outlet (or same surge protector).
You might also have the subwoofer cable connected to the wrong RCA on the AVR.
The nature of record players, tape players, and other non digital sources mean you could have a "normal, light hum". Best way to check is to use mute, or switch to a digital source.
Or the AVR/amp/deck itself could be the problem.
Hopefully this helps, I know this problem can be maddening, especially when intermitant.

My Bass Hack video methods, with a good pair of matched, deep bass subs, are seriously game changing, seriously more than the subs can do on their own without my hacks.
I don't say that lightly.
