About Umm Qais:
Situated on a breathtaking hilltop, it overlooks the Jordan Valley and the Sea of Galilee(Jordan River). Today, you can explore its remarkable ruins, including a colonnaded street, a vaulted terrace, and two ancient theatres. Afterward, savor a meal on a terrace that offers stunning views.

In recognition of its commitment to innovation and sustainability, Umm Qais was named one of the ‘Best Tourism Villages 2022’ by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

Best time to visit:
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November).

How to reach:
Irbid: 45-minute by cab.
Amman: 2 hrs by cab

Entry fee:
Tickets: Local/ Jordan Pass 0.25 JD and for tourist 5JD

Restaurant timing:
October to May: 10 am until 7 pm from
June and September: and 10 am until 10 pm.
The average price for a main meal is 7JD (10 USD).

Pro tip: While many visitors travel directly from Amman to Umm Qais, consider stopping at Jerash or Ajloun along the way for added exploration.
