Cab ride on Furka Steam Train Realp - Oberwald / Mountain Railway in Switzerland 4K (August 2022)

In this video you can enjoy the cab ride, the train drivers view from the historical steam train on the famous heritage Furka mountain railway (Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke) in the hart of the Swiss Alps as your ancestors did, 100 years ago. This journey starts in a small mountain village Realp, which is located in Uri canton and goes all the way up to the Furka DFB station on the altitude 2163 m and back down to the village Oberwald, in the alpine region Goms, in the canton of Valais.
This trip was made on 13 August 2022 during a "Dampfbahn - Fest" which marked the jubilee - 30 years since the first section of the Furka mountain steam railway, the 3.6-kilometre-long Realp - Tiefenbach section, went into operation and almost 10 years after the last scheduled train of the Furka Oberalp Railway (FO) had travelled the route for the last time on 1982. You can enjoy this video in the resolution 4K/60 frames per second.

I would like to thank to the members of the Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke AG for supporting me and helping me to film this very important journey on the nearly 18 kilometre-long Furka Railway which is the longest operated unelectrified line in Switzerland. It is also the second highest rail crossing in Europe, after the Bernina Railway. The Uri side of the line also constitutes the highest railway in Central Switzerland.
