Engineer VS Predator - Who Won the Fight ?

Engineer from Prometheus vs Predator?

The fight was in Predator Fire and Stone. Who is stronger Predator or Engineer.

In Prometheus , we see how strong and powerful the Engineers are. The one in the movie can easily throw a human across 25 feet room from a single punch and a gunshot at close range didn't seem to cause any serious damage to him.
Similarly, The Predators or Yautja are way stronger than humans evidenced by the original predator movie when the Predator backhands Dutch across the pond.
So that brings up a question who would win a fight an Engineer or a Predator Yautja.

Luckily this fight actually happened in the comic book Predator Fire and Stone and we’ll go over it in this video.

To clarify, the predators don’t exist in the Alien Canon and Predator vs Alien is just a cross over and doesn’t belong to the pure Alien Universe.
However, the Xenomorphs do exist in the Predator Canon, which is evidenced by Xenomorph skulls in Predator 2 and numerous comic books battles between xenomorphs and yautja.

Just like the Engineers the Predators are highly advanced species, capable of interstellar travel. They also breath an atmosphere similar to that of Earth but their technoogy is far more advanced than anything created by humans. Predator’s have a combination of high tech weapons and ancient spears and blades. Yautja like taking trophies of species they've killed and apparently they brought xenomorphs to Earth just to hunt them.

The Predators may seem too aggressive to develop such a high level of technology, but The Engineers also appear to be pretty violent species as seen in Prometheus.

So let’s go over the bettle between Predator and Engineer that happened in 2219 as described in Predator Fire and Stone.
For a long time, the predator named Ahab has wanted to hunt Engineer and take his skull as a trophy. The human named Galgo, flies with Ahab to the last know location of the Engineers which LV 223.

After getting to the planet and traveling thought jungles, Galgo and Ahab finaly stumble uppon the Engineer. Predator Ahab starts the fight and Galgo, terrified by the Engineer runs away affraid of loosing his life. Ahab didn’t expect Galgo to behave in such a way because prior to this, they fought together agains other creatures.

Ahab in this story is an elder Predator, highly skilled seasoned veteran with many trophies.
But it appears that the is stronger than Ahab in terms of raw physical force, so Ahab has to rely on weapons and his tactic to defeat the engineer.
Ahab fires a shot but the Engineer engages in a hand to hand combat. The Predator then suffers multiple blows to the head and seems to be overthrouwn but the Engineer. At the same time Galgo realizes that he cannot excape the planet alone and then goes back to help the Predator.

Althought Ahab is able to cut the Engineer’s face with his blade gaunlet, he’s truly weekend and suffers even more damange. The Engineer easily breaks Ahab’s arm and leg, he seem to dominate the fight and then bthrows the Predator to his ship. Ahab realizes that the battle is probably lost,he retreats to the ship and activeates his comouflage to lure the Engineer inside.

Ahab then fires multiple spear shots and one of them impales the Engineer to the chest. However, Enraged , the Engineer manages to pull out the spear and approaches Ahab to finish him with his own weapon. At the last moment, Galgo arrives inside and shots the Engineer with a b gun. The Engineer is still alive but it gives time to Ahab and Galbo to active the self desctructive device and escape the ship.
The Engineer recovers from an injury and reaches to the device but it’s late and ship explodes killing the engineer.

Once the dust settled, Ahab finds the Engineer body and rips out his skull and spine adding them to his collection of trophies.

So, the Predator won this fight with the Engineer but only with some help from Galgo.
If his friend didn’t shot the Engineer winning some time them to escape , the Engineer would definetly kill ahab. But again I don’t think the Engineer would survive after the fight having received a spear that went all the way thought his body.

To conclude, it’s fair to say that the Engineers have a high resiliance to pain and are physically stronger than the Predators. But on the other side, using the camouflage and other high tech weapons Predators have pretty high chances to overpower Engineers.
