Spatial Concepts (Prepositions) Song - On, In, Under │ Songs for Speech Therapy and ELD

These spatial concepts are great to practice for English learners, children with difficulties learning language, toddlers, and late talkers.
"On," "in," and "under" are three of the first spatial concepts (prepositions) that most children learn. They are also three of the most used spatial concepts. I focus on three concepts in this song because three concepts is usually enough for a single speech therapy or English tutoring session, especially if you want kids to be able to use the words more independently by the end of the session.

Why?

Music boosts encoding and retrieving memories, both of which are needed to learn and use language. Music is engaging and often provides even more repitition than "drill and kill" methods of just repeating sentences multiple times. Offer praise and incentives for kids to sing along- the more they sing along, the faster they will learn. Happy teaching!
