How to install TTRS / R8 slotted door hands in an Audi TT Mk2 8J & upgrade in-handle ambient LED

This upgrade is for improving in-cabin aesthetics which adds the sexier slotted handle from the TTRS or Audi R8 supercar to your Mk2 plus adding some interior ambient lighting.

The handle itself is a direct bolt in but if you want to have a fully OEM functioning unit you also have some wiring to do which is all covered in this installation guide. VCDS coding is also covered.

Out of the box the LED ambient light is quite dim but it can be upgraded with a superbright 3mm LED.

My best tip would be to source the complete units off a wreck, eBay or Gumtree.
