If you are trying to decide between the Ather 450X and the Bajaj Chetak, get the Ather for its performance and sense of fun, the Chetak instead if you're just looking for a hassle-free basic city runabout that everyone in your family can use. First, the 450X is harder for everyone in the family to use while the Chetak naturally fits into that role. Neither is super comfortable, both because of suspension setups – the Chetak's too basic and the Ather's too sporty though. Second, the Ather has similar range but a lot more performance on offer, and both scooters are reasonably trouble-free to live with too. The extra performance, features and premium feel of the Ather is what the extra money is for. Third, if you plan to go faster and really enjoy the riding experience, corner it a bit, there's no doubt that the 450X, especially in Warp mode, is the one to get.
