We can get Claude Code and MCP server easily. They make it super simple. Just paste in a few lines of code. To start, run the list command. Type `claude mcp list` to check servers. There might be no servers set up yet, so add a server with `claude mcp add`. Here's the mcp add command:

claude mcp add pubnub -e PUBNUB_PUBLISH_KEY=demo -e PUBNUB_SUBSCRIBE_KEY=demo -- npx -y @pubnub/mcp

Hit enter, and we've added the server. Now run claude to start it up. Then ask it to do something like create a PubNub chat app with presence indication. It might ask for inputs, so just agree to run the setup. It uses these steps to build the chat app, which will show if users are online with a green dot. Sometimes it repeats permission questions, so tell it not to ask again for a smoother process. It's gathering info and starts coding. It uses the newest SDK version and even writes a readme doc. Open index.html to start. Enter your name to join the chat. It works. Open another window as Player B. Both users can chat and see who's online. I didn't write any code, the AI did. The AI did it from my instructions. I can update things, like adding message history, so every time we enter the chat room, we see past chats. The AI might check docs and start updating. It's a fun experience. Watching it code takes time, but it's satisfying. You can do something else while it works, and check back later for updates.
