Formula Masters China Series team champions. Meritus.GP has secured the 2013 Formula Masters China Series team title and are 1st and 2nd in the drivers series with one round to go. Formula Masters is an international series with races in Shanghai, Zhuhai, Ordos (Mongolia), Inje (Korea) and Sepang (Malaysia). The series provides the next step on the Asian motorsport career ladder after AsiaCup and is owned and promoted by the VW China Group. The formula race car is based on the Tatuus designed and manufactured and F3 homologated chassis and the engine is a detuned VWF3 producing 185bhp. The series uses the all-new GITI race tyre. The VW China Group uses the Formula Masters Series to train and develop young drivers in order that they can step up to one of the VW China GT series: Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Porsche Carrera Cup, Audi R8 and the VW Scirocco Series.
