Episode 11 marks a fresh chapter — we’re moving from perch-only to pike and perch canal fishing.

For this session, I picked up a new setup: the HTO Rockfish 0.5–5g 198cm rod paired with the HTO Rockfish 1000 reel and spooled with Westin W3 8-Braid Dutch Orange. This affordable combo (just over €100) promises great quality without breaking the bank, and I was eager to put it to the test.

Fishing wasn’t easy this time — the perch were harder to find, and we couldn’t push the rod to its absolute limit — but we still managed to land both perch and pike. The new gear handled beautifully, giving me confidence it will shine in future sessions.
