Set a timer for 25 seconds and have a second person setup in front of you with 8 balls. When the time starts, have them roll the balls side to side. As you run to retrieve the balls, throw them at a target past the person rolling the balls. The goal in my video was to hit the target all 8 times. If I am unsuccessful, I get a pie to the face... 🥧😂

The side to side ground ball drill is designed to increase your defensive range. In a game, it's rare that a ball is hit at you. This drill teaches you to not only hustle to retrieve the ball but also make a strong and accurate throw after you do. Side to side ground balls can improve your lateral quickness, agility, stopping and starting ability. Be sure to switch it up and make it more difficult by switching from backhand to forehand plays.
