THE CALTROP - pointy nastiness through the ages!

The caltrop was used in warfare from at least 331 BC at the Battle of Guagemela between Darius III and Alexander the Great until well into the 17th Century. It even saw use during the English Civil War. The caltrop is simple, cheap, effective and needs no training to use. It can bring down: men, horses, camels and even elephants.
