Techniques for Implant removal

First try to engage Fixture remover tool’s thread to Implant tightly and try to rotate it. If thread gets properly engaged and only 2-3mm of implant body height is attached to implant then usually this technique works.
If Implant is very long and can’t be retrieved only by Fixture remover tool then try to disengage the coronal part with trephine drill in coronal half and then remove implant with Fixture removal tool.
Many a times internal taper of implant doesn’t get matched with or is lesser than Fixture remover tool hence fixture remover tool doesn’t get engaged easily to implant. In that case use trephine drill till end of implant and remove implant.
