دنزل واشنطن (بالإنجليزية: Denzel Washington)‏ هو أحد الممثلين الكبار في هوليوود ويعد كذلك من الممثلين الجادين في لهجتهم ومع ذلك تكمن لديه الموهبة والانسجام في كافة أدواره المليئة بالدراما والإثارة والكوميديا. حصل على جائزة سيسيل ب. دوميل الإنجاز مدى الحياة في حفل توزيع جوائز الغولدن غلوب الثالث والسبعون. تقديرًا لعدد من بطولاته في العديد من الأفلام المتميزة، مثل "Philadelphia"، "Malcolm X"، و"Man on Fire".
ولد دنزل واشنطن في 28 ديسمبر 1954 وعندما بلغ الرابعة عشر من عمره أرسل مع شقيقته الكبرى إلى مدرسة خاصة، وفي سنة 1977 درس الصحافة وتخرج من كلية (فوردهم) وسافر بعد ذلك إلى سان فرانسيسكو حيث قبل في مدرسة المسرح هناك، واستمر في الدراسة لمدة عام، ثم بدأ بالاشتراك في بعض من المسلسلات التلفزيونية هنا وهناك، حتى أنتج فيلم الطلاب (دبوت) في سنة 1979.
